What LostNot stores
LostNot stores the places and item lists you choose to save. If you take a photo, the source image may be stored in your private LostNot cloud storage so your saved place can be recovered on a future device.
Camera and microphone
The camera is used only when you choose to photograph a place. The microphone is used only when you choose voice entry. Voice recordings are sent for transcription to turn your spoken inventory into an editable item list; LostNot does not keep the original recording after that request completes.
AI and service providers
When you choose AI photo recognition, the photo is sent securely to OpenAI to suggest visible items. LostNot uses Supabase to provide private account, database and file-storage services. These providers process data only to deliver LostNot’s functionality and security.
How data is used
Your data is used to save, search, synchronise and protect your LostNot information. LostNot does not sell personal data or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Subscriptions
If you choose a LostNot subscription, Apple processes the purchase and subscription payment. LostNot receives only the subscription status needed to provide the paid service; it does not receive your full payment-card details.
Retention and deletion
You can delete a saved place in the app at any time. You can permanently delete your account, saved places, item lists and source photos from Settings → Delete account and all data. This also clears LostNot data held on that device.
